Every worthy organization has a charity or mission that they are passionate about. For Thayne, it’s saving the White-Handed Gibbon. The gibbon is Indonesia’s rarest ape and is endangered due to habitat destruction.
In the summer of 2009 after graduating from college, Thayne took a trip to Myrtle Beach with his parents who paid for him to take the hands on tour at the T.I.G.E.R.S. Reserve (the institute of greatly endangered and rare species). At the end of the tour, the tour guide gave a compelling speech on the extreme importance of sustainability and reducing, reusing, and recycling and how vital it is to our society.
Thayne left the tour with a liking for the Gibbon and started on a personal mission to spread the word on sustainability and the 3 R’s.
Thayne then drew up a process that businesses could implement to save thousands of dollars annually by recycling and adopting sustainable practices which has received attention from West Virginia’s Governor.

His goal is to create social change while showing businesses that recycling is no longer a fuzzy feel good initiative but a way to build profits while gaining a competitive advantage. And all of this was the result of an attachment to an endangered ape.
Proceeds from all sustainability projects and cost reduction programs will go to fund the following grass root conservation programs:
